Team Easton! This picture will be in the nursery for sure!
The Sweetest Hostesses
The cake my Lifegroup provided =)
I wish I could type this without crying but I'm pretty sure that is unavoidable!! I've come to terms with the fact that this journey is an emotional ride. Yesterday, I was surrounded by love and support from the women in my life. My childhood best friends, Lindsey, Lisa, Nikki and Katie hosted a baby shower full of laughs, memories and tears. Although, we haven't seen Easton's face, it didn't stop us from celebrating his life and preparing for his arrival. We believe Easton will be here in God's timing and have all of our Faith in the Lord. Reading the cards and words of encouragement wasn't an easy task, hearing words like "Easton's greatest wish is about to come true", and "You are going to be a fantastic mother", instantly brought more tears to my eyes. We received everything we would need to bring Easton home tomorrow. Some of the sentimental gifts, included an adoption baby book, a handmade bracelet with Easton's name and a tote bag that reads, "There's no where on earth I wouldn't go to bring you home to me."
Saying "Thank you" doesn't even begin to show our gratitude. Knowing that Easton has a team of people who are praying for him and providing for him is encouraging to us. This is especially important to us now, as we are so close to finally seeing his face. We truly cannot wait for him to meet each and everyone of you!
We are having a blast setting up his nursery, pictures to come soon!!! We are so incredible thankful to all of our friends and family for their support.
Verse for this week:
Isaiah 40:28-31
"Have you not known? Have you not heard?The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Even youths shall faint and be weary,
and young men shall fall exhausted;
but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint."Waiting on the Lord,
Ashlie and Ryan

What a blessing to have so many special girlfriends to love on you and celebrate your baby! I do believe that they are just as excited as you are and you will have so many of these dear friends there to support you when he/she is home!
This is just the beginning of the most wonderful journey.... :)
Praying for a quick referral!

Amen on Is. 40!! You are precious. Glad you liked the idea to use the container (if you get another chance...well if you don't...eat one in CELEBRATION and keep that one!!!) Waiting on the Lord is a blessing! For the things He has in store for us IS SO beyond our wildest thought/prayer! So we wait and while we wait we REJOICE in the things He has provided us each and every moment of the day. As i say everyday is a blessing...every moment a gift! all from GOD! I know you might be doing the Crazy Love book...how cool as it in chpt 3 that "He knew us before we were created..." He has known you guys and baby Easton for a very long time! hugs!
